I think this is the worst settlement for bankers. We got cheated once again. Now with this wage revision bank clerks are at part with central govt peon, however bank officers are at part with central govt clerk....... Its realy a shame for us that still we are respecting our leaders after doing this stuff........
Thanks to our Union Leaders . Bank ''CLERKS'' are now at par with a central government ''PEON'' , in terms of salary. Congratulations for this great achievement...........
I want to tell all leaders that dont try to test patience of the members. Enough is enough at least you realise your mistake and resign from your posts.......

It is being publicized that bank employees got a very good wage hike but the following facts speak adversely:
Comparative salary for April, 2010 payable to govt. employees as per VIth Pay Commission and to bank employees as proposed under 9th Bipartite Settlement between Bank Unions and IBA (Amt. in Rs.)

It is evident from the abovementioned chart that bank employees are getting almost half of salaries being paid to their counterparts in govt. dept. It is also not out of place to mention that many public sector undertaking are even paying more to their employees than govt. employees. It is more painful employees that a bank officer is being paid less than a clerk of govt. and a clerk of bank is being paid less than a group D (peon) employee of central govt. What to talk of a sub-staff (4th class) in banks.

LETTER FROM A BANK EMPLOYEE

I have read many letters (In the website i.e www.allbankingsolutions.com) of many bank employees accusing the union leaders in regards to wage revision talks. These employees have shown their anger against the likely settlement. In this connection I have to say something:
1. Our leaders have sacrified a lot in making the life of bank employees comfortable. They have refused promotions to work for the welfare of employees. They have neglected their family too.
2. It is a fact that 100% members can not be satisfied. Every employee has its own interest, own priorities. Those who have not opted for pension, want another option for pension, those who have already opted for pension do not want it but higher increase in salary. Everybody is bahaving selfishly. There is no room of sacrifice or accommodating others.
3. Have you seen railway compartment? When you are out at station, you shout at the passangers who are in to open the gate. The time you are in, you ask the other passangers not to open the gate. Is it not happening now with this settlement?
4. I remember the days when I joined the Bank in 1978. My salary was less than Rs. 500/- and now I have all the comfort in my life. I give full credit to the Unions/Associations for it.

I urge the employees/officers not to behave like children, give their full support to their leaders and keep faith in them.

Atleast I am.

Greatest Massacre

Raipur, Apr 6 (PTI) In the deadliest attack on security forces, Naxals trapped and gunned down 73 security personnel during a joint "Operation Green Hunt" offensive by forces this morning in the thick forests of Mukrana in Dantewada district of Chattisgarh, one of the strongholds of Maoists. The incident took place between 6 AM and 7 AM when nearly 80 personnel comprising CRPF and state police were returning after opening a road for the troops to begin an operation against Naxals.
While 72 of those killed were CRPF personnel, including a deputy and an assistant commandant, one was a head constable of the district police. Dantewada Superintendent of Police Amresh Mishra said the Naxals first blew up a vehicle carrying the CRPF personnel near Chintalnar-Tarmetla village in the district.
Immediately after the blast, the CRPF personnel and a few police personnel tried to take cover when they came under heavy fire from hundreds of Naxals, well entrenched on the adjacent hillock. The CRPF team had been camping in the interiors of Tarmetla jungles for the last three days as part of a combing operation and area domination exercise, Mishra said.

New Delhi, April 6 (IANS) Even as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership decided to support the government's drive against Maoism, senior party leader Arun Jaitley Tuesday trained his guns on Home Minister P. Chidambaram and said that the 'buck stops' with him.
Earlier Tuesday, Maoists had ambushed and massacred 75 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and a policeman in the dense forests of Chhattisgarh's Dantewara district in the worst such attack since the Maoist rebellion erupted 43 years ago.
BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy articulating the official party position said the BJP was with the government and it will not play politics over the serious subject.
At the 30th anniversary celebration of the BJP, Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley had Chidambaram in his cross-hair.
'I can use the language of the home minister and say that the buck stops with the home minister's chair,' he said.
Jaitley was echoing Chidambaram's statement after visiting Lalgarh in West Bengal, where he said the 'buck stopped with the chief minister'.........

(A) Contribution by Officers :
One estimates says that there are TWO LACS SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND OFFICERS and on an average they are paying subscriptions @ Rs.100. Thus, total monthly contribution by members / collection by unions is to the tune Rs. 2,75,00,000 (i.e. Rs. 275 Crores). (This is based on simple calculation 2,75,000 x Rs.100).
Thus yearly contribution of Rs.33,00,00,000/- (i.e. Rs. 33 crores)
(B) Contribution by Workman Staff :
Estimates indicate that there are about FOUR LACS SEVENTY SEVEN workmen staff and they are paying subscriptions @ Rs.20 (Average). Thus total monthly ccontribution by members / collection by unions is to the tune of Rs.95,40,000 (Rs.95.40 Lacs). (Again it is a simple calculation 4,77,000 x Rs.20). Thus yearly contribution is Rs.95,40,000/-
(C) Total Contribution By Officers and Workman Staff Towards Union Subscription :
Thus, union leaders are enjoying contribution of Rs.33,95,40,000/- (Rs. Thirty Three Crores and Ninty Five Lacs Fourty Thousand) per year.

Leavy Collected By The Union In last BIPARTITE

THE LEVY PAID BY MEMBERS EVERY FIVE YEARS (The levy amount can be staggering amount as it amounts to Rs.150 Crores40 Lacs if members(2,75,000 Officers/4,77,000 Workmen) as mentioned above contribute @ Rs.2000/- each). Does anybody remembers, how much levy was paid last time and how much unions are expected to ask this time from each member? Members can do their own calculations. If Rs.150,40,00,000 are collected and put in a fixed deposit at the lowest rate of 6% p.a.,it earns Rs.9.02,40000 (Near About Rs9 Cores) as interest per year and the principal remains intact. What will be done by union leaders with this kind of money?
The collections done by unions from clients of the banks at the time of souvenirs or holding national conclaves etc. is not included in the above calculations. This can also be to the extent of few crores.

BIGGEST SCAM IN BANKING INDUSTRY?

Recently we have receiving a large number of letters from readers, wherein they have pointed out misuse of the members contribution by union leaders. Mr TC Sachin sent some broad figures about the collection of funds by unions. We have developed the topic and would like to know whether members agree with these figures or it is pure exaggeration. Let us bring out the truth. Union leaders are also welcome to send their view points as large number of readers are feeling that they are being cheated by union leaders and their hard earned money is being misused by the leaders. We think, this is the right time to discuss the issue and bring the truth. Moreover, members are worried about the amount they have to shell as LEVY after the Below Poverty Line settlement is finalised.

Bipartite Sattlement In Banking Industry.

There is a strong under current at present against the union leaders. In view of the delay in settlement and likely agreement whereby members are not likely to get over 10% increase in take home salary (which is even less than the last two rounds of DA increase), members are questioning about the contribution made by them in the shape of monthly subscription.
